The Ninjatō is alleged to be the preferred weapon of the shinobi of feudal Japan. It is portrayed by modern ninjutsu practitioner as the weapon of the ninja. The Ninjato is typically forged with a straight spine as opposed to the traditional curve of the Katana blades.
